Water Safety Promotion Kit

One of my tasks in an advanced design course I took was to create an infographic based on, really, whatever we wanted. I am a certified lifeguard of almost 5 years, a former D1 varsity swimmer (and water polo player), and I still teach private swim lessons of all ages and coach competitive swimming to this day, each summer. So, given my knowledge on the topic, I decided to do it on water safety.

This is the resulting graphic. The composition is organized around a lap pool, with demonstrative graphics with captions at the top, interesting facts and illustrations at the bottom, and the engaging headline with a focal point supplemental visual in the middle.

The following assignment was a “package” based on the same topic previously covered by the preceding infographic. It required five personally branded items. While my peers used things like sticker paper, labels, and other standard packaging materials for their boxes, I was presented with a challenge because of the organic shapes of water paraphernalia.
