I'm Taylor Renée.
I like to tell stories, so here’s mine.
I’ve been immersed in the realm of creativity for ten years now. As a kid, I would click around on MS Paint and tap away on my keyboard ’till my heart’s content, making a whole new universe that, in my esteemed opinion, was far more interesting than this one.
Time goes on, and I’m realizing, what if I didn’t have to engage in whimsical, fantastical escapism to make this world interesting? What if I could build my world how I wanted to?
And so, I did. Since my fascination with the opportunity to create set in, I’ve made it my life’s mission to unveil the most fulfilling of experiences in the most mundane of things and to let the world know about it. I even went to the extent of packing up my life to study art in Florence for four months to discover the fantastic beauty of Europe and beyond in the ten countries I saw… How lucky I am!
My professional goal is to help businesses, big and small, realize their potential impact through the lens of intentional design and strategic writing. These are the details that tell the story; It’s never about what you’re selling, it’s about why you’re selling.
I strive to understand and connect with an audience in order to meet their innermost needs. In an age where image, technology, and trust are so important, words are the substance and design is the experience. The marketing world doesn’t need more jargon. It needs humanity.
Since May 2023, I have graduated from Texas Christian University with a double major in Design Studies and Strategic Communication. This degree has made me well-versed in all things design, from packaging to logos, and experienced in consumer research, advertising, public relations and other fields of marketing communication. I also dabble in a bit of video editing, too.
I was set on telling stories with this newfound knowledge. So I looked all over the country for a place to do that, to hit the ground running, and to be a part of something grand. So when I was invited to work at Madison Opera, one of only two companies to produce world-class opera in the state of Wisconsin, I packed away all my life’s possessions into my little sedan and made the four-day drive solo from Orange County, California, to Madison, Wisconsin. I was in the office almost exactly two weeks after I got the letter.
I’m unafraid of seeking opportunity to share what I love, wherever I may find it. Of taking risks. After all, they tend to make for the best stories.
Take a moment to gander.
To be surrounded by nice things is a very pleasant thing. Your life gets better. So I would say that what design can do, it can ameliorate, or increase the quality of life. That it certainly can do.
